State Senator Chapin Rose (51stDist.), who was called to Springfield for the Democrat caucus on the energy/climate bill, introduced our speakers—State Rep. Chris Miller (110th Dist.) and State Rep. Adam Niemberg (109th Dist.)—who might represent parts of Champaign County under the new map.

The YRs (Young Republicans) had great attendance at their August happy hour at the Philo Tavern. Judge Limentato shared updates from his campaign while State Representative Dan Caulkins (IL 101 District) spoke about the latest news from Springfield, including a status update on the remapping process.

The Champaign County Republican Women’s Group (RWCC) is growing and active! The group has added many new members this past year and has joined Illinois Federation of Republican Women and National Federation of Republican Women which allows us to participate in additional events and have access to additional resources, information and participate in events on the state and national level.

The Speech that Inspired Americans to Fight for Independence

American Independence is a famous speech delivered by Samuel Adams from the steps of the State House in Philadelphia, the meeting place of the Continental Congress. In the speech, Adams declares that by voting for the Declaration of Independence, Americans have restored "the Sovereign to Whom alone all men ought to be obedient" (meaning God) to the "throne" of America.
