This Year's Independence Day Parades
Each year, to celebrate our nation's independence, parades are held throughout Champaign County. Here is a list of parades happening this year.
Saturday, July 3, 2021
Rantoul Freedom Celebration- Parade
Parade ends at Wabash Park, Time: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
The Rantoul Freedom Celebration Parade kicks off at 9:30am.
Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
The parade will consist of a motorcade, various village departments, elected officials, partnering agencies, and private businesses. The route takes the parade through each subdivision in the village. The parade is weather permitting. The lineup will take place in the Savoy 16 parking lot.
Seymour, Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
The Fourth of July parade will march through Seymour on July 3 at 10 a.m. The carnival at Seymour United Methodist Church will not take place this year, though. Neither will the annual car show. Fireworks will be on Saturday night starting at dusk.
Sunday, July 4, 2021
Lake Park, Time: 7:00 am - 10:00 pm
Parade at 11:30am, fishing derby, and more. The day wraps up with fireworks over Lake Sibley.
Cherry Hills July 4th Parade & Neighborhood Celebration
Millage Park, Time: 10:00 am - 10:45 am
A small neighborhood parade led by a fire truck!
Kiwanis Park, Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
10:00 a.m. Lil Miss and Mr. Firecracker contest 10:30 a.m. Parade lineup in LeRoy H.S. parking lot. Theme: Patriot America. All are invited to participate! -- Businesses, citizens, bikers, organizations, floats, walkers, golf carts, tractors, fire trucks, everyone!! 11:00 a.m. Parade starts.
St. Joseph Fourth of July Parade
St Joseph Middle School, Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
St Joseph will be having a parade on July 4th at 1pm. They will assemble at the St Joseph Middle School starting at 12:30pm and end at the St Joseph Community Park. At the conclusion of the parade, Pack and Troop 40 will have a Flag Retirement Ceremony.
Tuscola Sparks in the Park Parade
Downtown Tuscola, Time: 1:45 pm - 3:00 pm
Parade kicks off a week-long celebration for the Fourth of July.
