Jessica Waszak, one of the First Division Museum's specialists will be giving a talk on the role women played during the Vietnam War. The First Division Museum is located in Wheaton Illinois. The First Division’s nickname, the Big Red One, or BRO, comes from its shoulder patch insignia. Adopted in 1918, the Big Red One is now recognized throughout the world wherever the division has served. 

As a woman and Veteran, I am excited to learn some of the rich history of the women of the Vietnam War. Please join the Republican Women as we honor our Veterans. We will be signing cards to provide to Veterans in the area as well as continuing to collect items for the canteen. As it begins to get colder, remember blankets and warm clothes are acceptable in addition to toiletry items.
