As we all know, Human Trafficking has accelerated with our open southern border. Please join the Republican Women as we learn from Ann Deters with the 57/70 Task Force and their important mission in Central Illinois.

The 57/70 Task Force, established in 2020, was founded by community leaders, along with the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce. The task force’s mission is to educate the community for purpose of spotting, reporting and ultimately eliminating human trafficking in Effingham County, one person at a time. In support of their mission of cultivating philanthropy to build better communities, the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is committed to bring the full capabilities of an independent community foundation to smaller communities in our region by working with local volunteers and donors to improve their hometowns.

As always, we will be collecting items for the canteen. These items are for those without a home. Items such as toiletries, socks, etc. are appreciated.
