We Need Your Help to Win in 2022!

The CCGOP needs YOU to help us win elections in 2022

As we approach the 2022 midterm elections, the Champaign County GOP needs hundreds of additional volunteers to help us reach our goal of taking back control of Champaign County!

We all know what the issues are;  out of control crime (including the ridiculous reform bill passed by the Democrats this year), out of control inflation, out of control school boards and a two year long pandemic lockdown and vaccine mandates by Governor Priztker.

One of the most patriotic actions any citizen can perform (in addition to serving in the military or as an elected official) is volunteering time to help elect members of your party – in our case, the Republican party!

It’s not hard. We will train you, we will support you, we will mentor you and we will have fun knowing that what we do is making a positive change to our county and local communities.

So how about it?  Can we count on you to join us this year? Any amount of time you can contribute will make a huge difference in achieving our goals.

We are in need of volunteers for the following:

  • Precinct Committeemen (PCs): There are 118 precincts in Champaign County. This is a great way to make a big impact AND have a voice in our party’s platform and future. See the attached brochure on why it’s even a more important job than the President! The time commitment for off election years is only 2-5 hours per month. Election years are 10-20 hours per month.

Too much of a commitment right now? Consider becoming a PC support volunteer.

  • PC support volunteers work directly under a PC and help them execute their plan for YOUR precinct. This is a CRITICAL support function that introduces you to the political process and what a PC’s responsibilities are and how to execute them. This position takes less than half the time of a PC (unless you want to commit more time for the organization.) This is a great starting point for people with demanding schedules.
  • Election Judge: There is a huge need for elections Judges as they are responsible for monitoring 90 voting locations and for “counting the vote” operations at the County Clerk’s office. The Clerk’s office provides initial training and we will supplement the training. In addition to the 5-10 hours of initial training, you will need to be available for the full day of the election. Our goal is to make sure only legal, chain of custody votes are counted to insure a fair election.
  • Poll watcher: Similar to Election Judges and sometimes referred to as challengers, checkers or watchers are election observers who aid in ensuring the free and fair conduct of elections. Poll watchers may be in the polling place before the polls open, during the actual voting hours, and after the polls close including “counting the vote” operations at the County Clerk’s office. Training will be provided by our organization.

If none of the above options interest you, we will work to find a volunteer opportunity works with your schedule, talents and comfort level.  We have many committees that need volunteers also.

CAN WE PLEASE COUNT YOU IN?

If so, please Volunteer

If not, we understand that this may not be the right time for you. You can always contact us when you are ready.

Still want to help? It takes a lot of money to run a countywide political operation.

Thank you and here's to a successful 2022 for the Republican Party!
