Republican Women of Champaign County Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup, May 29, 2025
Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 06:00 PM · 1 rsvp · Adopt-a-Highway section of Rt. 45 South near Applebees in Champaign, IL
The Republican Women of Champaign County are proud to participate in philanthropic activities to better our community. The RWCC adopted a mile long stretch of ditch along Rt. 45 South in Savoy and have promised to clean it of litter. We like to get together as volunteers to walk and gather the trash a couple times each year while the weather is pleasant. The more the merrier, as they say and we'll get done sooner!
We hope the weather will cooperate and we can get this done on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 6pm.
Please join us in this event, everyone should meet in the Applebees parking lot at Curtis Rd by 6pm. Wear comfortable and casual clothing and shoes, (as it might get dirty). IDOT provide yellow safety vests AND picks up the bags! After we collect many garbage bags of litter we will be thirsty, but it feels great to keep making an impact in our community! For those that can join us after, we will enjoy a beverage at Applebees.
